Ongoing advisory services
We analyse our Clients’ factual situation against the background of the current law, including the interpretations of tax authorities and the jurisprudence of the administrative courts regarding income taxes and VAT. We take care of the tax aspects of our business Clients’ financing and, in the event that tax regulations give rise to ambiguities, we develop a strategy and prepare draft applications for an interpretation of tax regulations by the Minister of Finance. We analyse agreements concluded by Clients so as to eliminate or mitigate against tax risks. Moreover, we advise on the liability of management board members and collective entities as regards income tax offences or other taxes offences, such as the tax on civil law transactions, real estate tax, excise, agricultural tax or inheritance and donation tax.
We support Clients during tax audits or proceedings. We represent them before local administrative courts and the Supreme Administrative Court.
Advice during restructuring or acquisition proceedings
Our advisory services aim to maximise potential benefits whilst simultaneously minimising tax costs – in particular in regard to mergers, acquisitions and divisions of business entities, privatisation and the acquisition or disposal of assets.
- Advising on a wide variety of personal income tax issues, including selection of the optimum manner of conducting business activity, the preparation of management, employment and service contracts, analysis of option plans (including management incentive plans) and expenses incurred by the employer on behalf of employees
- Advising on the liability of management board members and collective entities against tax crimes and offences
- Advising on other taxes, such as the tax on civil law transactions, real estate tax, excise, agricultural tax or inheritance and donation tax
