Katarzyna Zańko

Katarzyna Zańko is a legal advisor who specialises in conducting proceedings before the common courts, the Supreme Court and arbitration courts. Her experience covers litigation concerning the non-performance or improper performance of contracts, particularly in relation to contracts for construction work and fixed-job contracts, representing Clients in disputes concerning breached agreements for the sale of real property, disputes concerning tenancy agreements, compensation for personal injuries and property damage, and asserting creditors’ claims in insolvency proceedings.

The most recent projects:

  • Representing developers in land and mortgage registry proceedings, constituting the first stage in seeking compensation from the local council for land plots earmarked as public roads pursuant to the Real Estate Management Act
  • Conducting litigation on behalf of an investor who withdrew from a construction contract during the start-up of the investment due to extensive delays in the performance of work by the other contractual party. The case also included disputes with an insurance company which refused to pay out funds under the insurance guarantee to secure proper performance of the contract
  • Participating in a case pending before the Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce with regard to a partnership (the client seeks to deprive the general partner of the right to act on behalf of the limited partnership, for valid reasons)
  • Representing defendant companies in cases to challenge the legality of certain provisions of a model agreement (concerning the regulations of an internet store, agreements used in the developer’s operations)
