Marcin Cetnarowicz

Counsel

Marcin has considerable experience in advising a wide variety of clients on range of corporate and employment issues. Prior to joining the SSW team in 2011, he worked at a leading Poznań law firm and advised key Clients from the energy and the FMCG industries. He also worked as an in-house lawyer at one of Poland’s largest energy suppliers where he was responsible for human resources matters.

Marcin specializes in numerous aspects of corporate and labour law. He has considerable experience in representing clients in labour law litigation and in advising clients on individual and group labour law, contractual obligations, human resources matters, restructurings, M&A transactions, employee personal data processing/protection and the protection of trade secrets. He regularly prepares legal opinions and risk assessments concerning the compatibility of corporate regulations and policies with personal data protection law, including all aspects of employee monitoring, GPS systems, whistleblowing policies etc.

He devises and implements key restructuring projects and has substantial experience in creating, restructuring and liquidating foreign entities and structures. He also provides day-to-day corporate and employment advice to SSW’s key clients, including private investors, international entities and capital groups operating in various economic sectors (including construction, development, energy, transport, FMCG and others).

Legal Adviser, member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Poznań (from 2011). Completed law degree at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2007). Pursued his academic interests on Ph.D. studies at Poznań University. He is regularly asked to speak at conferences on employment, energy and company/corporate law.

  • He advised on a range of employment law issues concerning the start-up of the Polish financial centre of a major shipping-logistics company
  • He advises the managerial staff of number of capital groups and evaluates the contractual obligations and strategies of such groups
  • He advises on the implementation and utilization of corporate structures and tax planning
  • He has acted as legal counsel for a number of significant businesses in the production and construction industry in various civil litigation proceedings
